On the sidelines of the Forum  Rashid  the land of memory

Damanhour University Rector accompanied the representative of the Champollion family

and the governor of El Beheira governorate in a tour to Rashid city

Dr. Ebeed Saleh (Damanhour University Rector )  accompanied by HE Eng. Nadia Abdu (Governor of  El Beheira) ,

Mr. Irvie Champollion (representative of the Champollion family)

 Ms. Catherine Kolan (Director of the Art Museum in Paris) and Ms. Nadia Andraus (Professor Emeritus of French Language)  ,

Professor Ghada Ghattouri (Dean of the Faculty of Education) as well as a number of deans of the faculties

and the Secretary General of the University and a number of popular and executive leaders in EL Beheira governorate .

Dr. Ebeed accompanied the delegation in a tour of Rashid city to introduce its most important features and to assert  the University's support

in the preparation of the accreditation of the city of Rashid by the organization of  UNESCO as a heritage city.

Dr. Ebeed Saleh stressed the keenness of the university to put all its expertise and capabilities in the service of the governorate

to make Rashid city an open world museum that tells the story of the Egyptian civilization and humanity and the struggle of the people

of Egypt through the ages.

 And  to discuss  possible ways of cooperation with El Behiera Governorate to develop the city of Rashid

to put it  on the map of world tourism, which  comes  within the vision of the political leadership, especially following to the Egyptian-French

presidential initiative to make the year 2019 the year of Egyptian-French friendship and culture.
