Damanhour University Rector welcomes a high level delegation from the National Council for Women.

 

 

 

 

Today, Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh, Damanhour University Rector, welcomed a high-level delegation from the National Council of Women.

 

 The meeting was attended by Mrs. Zakia Rashad, Rapporteur of the National Council of Women in El Beheira Governorate,

 

Ms. Abeer Abou El Ela, Director of Studies and Research,

 

and Mr. Sameh Ashawi, a researcher in the General Administration of Youth and Planning.

 

He was also welcomed by Mr. Lt. Col. Mohamed Abdel Salam, Director of Military Education at the University.

 

 

Members of the delegation expressed their desire to participate in the campaign “Be”, to combat violence against women

 

starting from 25th November to the 10th of December.

 

 

The campaign will include a number of theatrical and artistic performances by young people from a number of universities in various

 

governorates of Egypt, including Damanhour University, El Beheira Governorate.

 

Cultural, social and artistic activities of Damanhour University come as a contribution

 

Of the university in the framework of educating young people and university students about the importance of rejecting violence against women.

 

This comes in line with the orientations of the political leadership as President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi

 

announced that the year 2017 is the year of Egyptian women. During the meeting, the delegation

 

of the National Council for Women announced its desire to establish “Violence against Women” Unit at Damanhour University.
