To Combat High Prices, Damanhour University

Offers Meat to Citizens at Reduced Prices

According to the directives of His Excellency President / Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi - President of the Republic -

to continue making efforts to provide food commodities that meet the needs of citizens at reasonable prices,

Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh – Rector of Damanhour University - slaughtered two calves from one of the university’s farms,

and offered them for sale for 100 EGP Per kg.

As a veterinarian and professor of food control, technology and food safety,

Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh carried out the process of slaughtering

and supervision himself to ensure the meat's validity and quality.

Ebeed emphasized that the slaughter operations came to relieve the burden of simple citizens and fight high prices

because the university plays its social role to help El Beheira Citizens, as it is  "a university with no fences".

Saleh assured that the university is going soon to provide large quantities of beef,

goats and poultry meat from the farms of the Faculties of Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture at reasonable prices

at the outlets of the university.
