Damanhour University Rector hosts
Prof. Gautam Biswas, Professor of Engineering at Vanderbilt University of America

Under the auspices of His Excellency, the President of Arab Republic of Egypt,
Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh - Damanhour University Rector , hosts
Prof. Gautam Biswas - Professor of Engineering and Computer Science,
Faculty of Engineering, Vanderbilt University, USA , Director of the Integrated Systems and Software Center
for the purpose of employing international institutions to improve the educational system
in Egypt to achieve the goals of 2030 development Plan.
A symposium entitled "How Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning can Improve Educational Excellence"
was held in the conference hall at the Faculty of Education.
The symposium tackled several topics, namely, the aspiration to update and develop information systems
in university education and finding ways for financing digitization in the new space as well as emphasizing the need
for cooperation to provide digital services and concerted efforts to support
the transformation of the content of traditional education
into universities to digital content . This is to be useful in the fields of ( Medicine , Engineering, Space and Humanities)
in order to satisfy the new requirements of labour market.
In the future, this will benefit in increasing competitiveness which requires the development of teaching and learning methods,
especially as most traditional jobs are expected to disappear and be replaced by new jobs depending on artificial intelligence.
Prof. Dr. Ebeed Saleh presented the shield of the university and the university flag as gifts to Professor Gautam
to strengthen relations between the two universities.
In addition, Professor Gautam , headed the discussing committee for the doctoral thesis
of the researcher / Mona Jamil Mohammed Omara - Assistant Lecturer,
Department of Educational Psychology - Faculty of Education entitled :
"Measuring and Supporting Self-Regulated Learning in Problem Solving with Intelligence and Multi-Agent Learning Environment"
