Damanhour University launches Literacy Convoys to open New
Horizons for Illiterate Citizens in Salah El-Din Village, Badr Center

As part of Damanhour University's social responsibility and in support of eradicating illiteracy to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals,
a literacy convoy was launched in Salah El-Din village, Badr Center. The convoy was organized by the Community Service and Environmental
Development Sector in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees,
President of Damanhour University, and Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
and coordinated by Dr. Hala Sinaduk, the sector’s literacy coordinator.
Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim emphasized the University’s commitment to intensifying its efforts in the national literacy project. She explained
that the series of literacy convoys was launched to ease procedures for students and distribute them according to their areas of residence,
contributing to the eradication of illiteracy among citizens. She affirmed that these convoys help raise public awareness about the importance
of education and encourage both adults and children to join literacy classes. Dr. Hala Sinaduk stated that during the convoy,
62 citizens took the immediate literacy exam at Salah El-Din School, with the participation of 47 students from the local area.
