To inspire Hope in the Heart of Rural Egypt, Damanhour University

launches a Comprehensive Development Convoy in Karyoun Village,

Kafr El-Dawar Center

 

 

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, President of Damanhour University, and Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim, Vice President

for Community Service and Environmental Development, Damanhour University launched a comprehensive development convoy

in Karyoun Village, Kafr El-Dawar center, as part of its active participation in the presidential initiatives (A New Beginning)

and (A Decent Life).The health convoy from the Faculty of Nursing provided services to 50 residents, including health

screenings for blood pressure and diabetes, in addition to health education on chronic diseases and Hepatitis C.

They also conducted awareness sessions for 20 women on breast cancer and methods of early detection.

The convoy from the Faculty of Pharmacy distributed 49 types of free medication in various specialties to 70 citizens.

Meanwhile, the medical analysis convoy from the Faculty of Science served 93 residents. Members of the Dentistry Faculty convoy

examined approximately 10 children. The veterinary convoy conducted examinations for 50 cows, 50 buffalo, 20 calves, 25 goats,

and 50 poultry. The agricultural convoy distributed pesticide, fertilizer, and nutrient packages to farmers, along with

40 agricultural consultations on caring for the local crops.

Additionally, the awareness and educational convoy from the Community Service Sector raised awareness among 32 women,

13 agricultural workers, and 18 students about pollution and the preservation of public health. The Faculty of Education,

in collaboration with the Community Service Sector and the Performance Evaluation Committee,

also administered immediate literacy exams for 18 illiterate citizens.
