Damanhour University continues its Literacy Initiative Convoys

and conducts Immediate Exams for 45 Illiterate Citizens in

El-Abadiya Center with the Participation of 27 Students

 

 

In line with its social responsibility to combat illiteracy and in support of the Sustainable Development Goals, Damanhour University,

led by Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, has launched a new convoy as part of its Literacy Initiative. This convoy, organized by the Community

Service and Environmental Development Sector in collaboration with the General Authority for Adult Education, took place at

El-Abadiya Center. The event was conducted under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, the President of the University,

and Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim, the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim emphasized the university’s dedication to intensifying its efforts within the national literacy project,

viewing illiteracy as a national issue in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030. She highlighted the importance of engaging both students

and faculty members in serving the community and contributing to literacy efforts in collaboration with the General Authority

for Adult Education. During the convoy, 45 illiterate citizens took immediate literacy exams at El-Abadiya Primary School,

with the active participation of 27 university students from the local area.
