As Part of the Literacy Initiative Convoys, Damanhour University

conducts On-the-Spot Exams for 260 Illiterate Citizens in

Abu El Matamir, with the Participation of 110 Students

 

 

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees, President of Damanhour University, and Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim, Vice President for

Community Service and Environmental Development, a literacy convoy was launched in collaboration with the General Authority

for Adult Education in Abu El Matamir Center. Prof. Dr. Enas Ibrahim emphasized the university’s ongoing commitment, under the

leadership of Elhamy Trabees, to intensifying efforts within the national literacy project, in line with the university's social responsibility

and its role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. She added that the Community Service and Environmental Development

Sector organizes literacy convoys to support and serve citizens and students in every district of the governorate, aiming to achieve

further milestones toward eradicating illiteracy. She also stated that, during the convoy, 260 citizens underwent on-the-spot literacy exams,

with the participation of 110 students from the center. The students expressed their appreciation for the facilities provided

by the university, which enabled them to engage in the literacy initiative.
