The Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy (Clinical) program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Damanhour University, aspires to lead and excel locally and regionally in the field of pharmaceutical education based on clinical pharmacy skills, training and research. It aims to contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy profession and to serve the community healthcare.
Mission:
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Damanhour University, strives to offer a distinguished program in clinical pharmacy education according to the best standards. It aims to supply the community with a competent clinical pharmacist proficient in clinical practice and outstanding in providing patient healthcare. In addition, graduates will be knowledgeable in all fields of pharmacy, capable of enhancing the therapeutic system at the local and regional levels by training and collaborating with the healthcare team. They will offer professional pharmaceutical services in hospitals, public and private pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, drug control laboratories, and food analysis, along with working in pharmaceutical marketing and media. Graduates will actively participate in scientific research through research centers and universities to serve the community.
Objectives:
1. Achieve the national standard reference criteria for pharmaceutical education.
2. Provide the community with pharmacists qualified to participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring therapeutic systems in various clinical specialties.
3. Focus on the role of the pharmacist in providing appropriate healthcare to patients inside and outside hospitals by monitoring their medication regimen, studying clinical pharmacokinetics principles, and applying them in treatment for various conditions. This collaboration with the treating physician will result in improved patient healthcare and reduced drug risks and interactions.
4. Prepare graduates who are trained and qualified to meet the professional requirements in all fields, including pharmaceutical manufacturing, drug control, food analysis, and working in community pharmacies.
5. Develop students' personal skills by encouraging student activities, enhancing their scientific curiosity, and promoting lifelong learning.
6. Encourage research in clinical pharmacy in collaboration with local and regional research centers.
