Damanhour University Continues its Comprehensive Convoys in Abu El Matamir

within the Initiative of a Decent Life

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid El Sayed Abdel Hamid - Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research of Damanhour University,

the university organized a free comprehensive veterinary, agricultural and medical convoy

within the presidential initiative of (A Decent Life) to serve and develop the Egyptian countryside

at the village of (Taha Hussein) in Abu al-Matamir Center.

The convoy was implemented in cooperation with Al Beheira Governorate, the village health administration and the village council.

The faculties of veterinary medicine, pharmacy,agriculture, nursing,

and education for early childhood participated in the convoy to provide medical examinations, free necessary medicines and various services.

The veterinary convoy included free examination, treatment and awareness-raising of common animal diseases and prevention methods.

The agricultural convoy presented agricultural guidance.

The nursing convoy also included general health education and information about detecting early breast cancer

and measuring sugar and blood pressure. After measuring children speech disorders and distributing gifts to children,

students of Early Childhood Education presented:

- A symposium on early marriage and its social and psychological damage to women.

- A symposium on female circumcision and its harms.

- Movement, art, and music performances and watercolor activities.
