Meeting of the Units to Combat Violence

against Women in Egyptian Universities

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Hamid El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid - Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research,

Damanhour University participated in the fourth coordination meeting of units to combat violence against women in Egyptian Universities

in the presence of members of the unit at the university.

The forum aimed at activating issues of women's empowerment and combating violence through seminars to raise students' awareness

in universities and urging the inclusion of mechanisms and means of combating violence in academic curricula.

The conference program included several topics:

-An overview of the Council's role in supporting the units since its establishment until now.

-Violence against women in the constitution and the law.

-Domestic violence and electronic violence.

-An overview of the family development project.

-An overview of the role of safe women's clinics in hospitals.

-Ways to include the unit in the organizational structure of universities.
