The Presence of Student Support Teams at the Unit to Combat Violence

against Women at Damanhour University

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Hamid El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid - Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research -

an interactive workshop was held for students of the University on combating violence against women at the Unit's headquarters in the Faculty of Engineering.

Prof. Dr. Islam Fawzy - Executive Director of the Unit, members of the Unit, and a group of university students attended the workshop.

The Unit continues its work to introduce its goals and role by providing many activities and training workshops for university students to educate them on the

concepts of violence, racism, bullying, and harassment. Moreover, the Unit aims to train students on ways to defend themselves in case of exposure to

harassment situations. The workshop witnessed a positive interaction of the attendees and a positive participation of male students,

which indicates the support of the Violence against Women Unit and that its role is not limited to females only.
