Combating all Forms of Bullying in the Unit for Combating Violence

against Women at Damanhour University

Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid El-Sayed Abdel Hamid - Vice President of Damanhour University for Graduate Studies and Research -

met all members of Committee of the Unit for Combating Violence against Women to present the unit's training plan

and identify the objectives expected of it. Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid explained the importance of the role of this unit at the university

to ensure the existence of a safe educational environment free of violence and face discrimination against women or girls inside the university campus.

Dr. Islam Fawzy - Executive Director of the unit - explained the objectives expected from the training plan, including:

Raising awareness of women and girls about:

Ways for women to protect themselves.

Laws that protect women in society in general.

The mechanisms used in the university to combat violence.

Dangers of overpopulation.

Adopting actual practices to combat violence against women through:

Identifying the procedures for filing a complaint in the university.

Responding to violence and achieving self-protection inside and outside the university campus.

Fighting the phenomenon of silence.
