Damanhour University finishes in Second and Third Places in the Large-Scale Projects
in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Trabees - President of Damanhour University, Damanhour University finished in second and third places
in the large-scale projects in the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects (Phase Three 2024).
Trabees congratulated the entrepreneurs on the winning projects, stressing that this achievement reflects
the spirit of innovation and creativity that the university is keen on achieving sustainable development
and environmental protection, pointing out the need for the university to pioneer in completing research projects in this field.
Prof. Dr. Manal Mustafa - Acting Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research- explained that the two winning
projects are (The production of biofuel from Jatropha and Hegna plants
using biotechnology methods) and (The Production of Egyptian potatoes resistant to brown rot disease using biotechnology methods).
The winning projects in the National Initiative for Green Smart Projects were honored during the regional conference for the governorates
of Alexandria, Al Beheira, and Matrouh in the presence of Dr. Jackleen Azer, Governor of Al Beheira,
Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, Major General Khaled Shoeib, Governor of Matrouh,
and the entrepreneurs were escalated by the initiative’s executive committee.
