Damanhour University Celebrates World Environment Day

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Tarabees - President of the University -

and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mona Mabrouk - Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs -

the Sector for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs organizes several educational seminars to celebrate World Environment Day.

These seminars aim to discuss and educate community members about the importance of preserving the environment.

The first of these seminars is entitled (Facing the problem of land desertification using remote sensing applications).

Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Sayed indicated that the state has made great efforts to preserve natural resources and use them in a sustainable manner

that preserves the rights of future generations and confront global environmental challenges such as climate change,

pollution and loss of biodiversity to achieve the goals of sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
