Damanhour University Sponsors Projects Submitted by the National Initiative

 

for Smart Green Projects in its Second Session

Within the framework of Egypt’s efforts to achieve the goals of sustainable development,

digital transformation and Egypt’s Vision 2030,

Al Beheira Governorate announced the extension of the submission period for the National Initiative

for Smart Green Projects until September 1, 2023.

Prof. Dr. Abdel-Hamid El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid - Vice President of Damanhour University for Postgraduate Studies and Research -

explained that the initiative is unprecedented as it focuses on the application on the ground

and the seriousness of dealing with the environmental dimension and climate change.

It is worth noting that all projects are evaluated according to the following six criteria:

The green component criterion that focuses on the degree to which the project reduces the negative impacts on the environment.

The smart technology component criterion that focuses on the extent to which innovative technologies are integrated into the project.

The economic feasibility and bankability criterion that focuses on the financial feasibility of the project.

The scalability and repeatability criterion that focuses on the project's ability to be applied on a larger scale or in different geographical locations.

The sustainable impact criterion that focuses on the extent of the positive economic, social and environmental impact of the project on society.

  ✓The empowerment and equal opportunities criterion that focuses on the extent to which women benefit or participate in the project.
