"Anti-Smoking" is a Cooperation Protocol between the Faculty of Education,

Damanhour University, and Al Behaira Health Authority

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Abdel-Hamid El-Sayed Abdel-Hamid - Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research -

a cooperation protocol was signed between Damanhour University and the Directorate of Health and Population on combating smoking.

Prof. Dr. Amal Mahran - Dean of the Faculty of Education and representative of the university-

Prof. Dr. Hani Mustafa Jumi'ah - Undersecretary of the Ministry in Al Beheira and representative of the Directorate of Health and Population-

Prof. Dr. Samah El-Kady - Director of the Environmental Health Department in Al Beheira Health Directorate,

and Mr. Nashat Qamra - Secretary General of Damanhour University- attended the signing of the protocol.

Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid explained that this protocol aims to reach smoke-free educational institutions and prohibit smoking

in all its forms among faculty members, employees, workers, students, and other visitors to the university

through activities and events sponsored by the university.

His Excellency confirmed that the Faculty of Education would open a clinic to combat smoking inside the faculty,

aiming to spread health awareness among students and guide them to free treatment in the essential clinic of the Directorate.

Moreover, the university will make awareness convoys for students form a team of students to spread awareness among each other,

and conduct seminars and workshops.
