Damanhour University Council Launches a Competition

for the Best Environmentally Friendly University

The Council of Damanhour University held its periodic session chaired by

Prof. Dr. Abdel Hamid El Sayed Abdel Hamid - Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research -

in the presence of the members of the Council.

Abdel Hamid stressed the necessity of completing all maintenance work

during the mid-year vacation and ensuring the availability and readiness of occupational safety equipment in all buildings

at the university in preparation for the start of the study in the second semester.

His Excellency directed deans of the faculties to implement the recommendations of the Supreme Council of Universities

to launch the competition for (The best environmentally friendly university)

during 2023 and to set standards for it at the level of all faculties, provided that its criteria are as follows:

• Principles of environmental preservation and sustainability Standards.

• Education system standards.
•  
• University infrastructure standards.
•  
• Energy standards and climate change.
•  
• Waste management standards.
•  
• Water management standards.
•  
• Transfer standards within the university.
•  
• Environment quality standards.
•  
• Standards for managing crises, epidemics and disasters.
•
