Students of Damanhour Computer and Information Participate with Scientific Research

at the Annual International Conference

of the Arab Academy for Science and Maritime Transport

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Elhamy Tarabees - President of Damanhour University,

Prof. Dr. Maged Sho’ala - Acting Vice President for Education and Student Affairs,

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Fawzy Waly - Acting Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information,

and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saleh – Lecturer of Computer Science, a student delegation from the University’s Faculty of Computers and

Information participated at the annual international conference of the Arab Academy for Science and Maritime Transport in Alexandria with scientific research

entitled (The 2024 International Conference on Machine Intelligence and Smart Innovation ICMISI). The research discussed the classification of corn diseases

using convolutional neural networks and the support vector machine.

Praising the effort made by the students, Waly emphasized the importance of that research as it will be published in a periodical on the highest-ranked platform

in engineering and science (The IEEE explore platform).
