The Main Purpse Of The Present Thesis Is To Invesigatethe Effact Of Pores In Wave Makers On Surface Waves Generated In Their Presence In Different Physical Situation. The Fluid Considered Is Incompressible And Inviscid And The Pores Of The Wave Maker Are Such That Taylor’s Assumption Concerning The Flow Across The Wave Maker Can Be Applied. The Thesisconsists Of Four Chapters
In Chapter I : The linearised Theory Of Surface Waves Of Small Amplitudes Is Then Presented Tiking Surface Tension Into Consideration.
In Chapter II : By Taking The Formal limit The Corresponding Results For A Fluid Of Infinite Depth Are Deduced.
in chapter III : the result obtained Are Then Used In Dealing With The Scattering Of Harmonic Waves Incident Normally On The Wave Maker’s Surfaces.
In Chapter IV : Is Concerned With Waves Generated In Coninuously Slighty Stratified Fluid.
